Het (extreem) rechtste Sweden Democrats wordt derde partij in Zweden na recente nationale verkiezingen en verdubbelt haar stemmen tot 12.9%.

Daarmee wordt de trend in Europa verdergezet: rechtse partijen tegen immigratie, tegen de EU blijven fors aan stemmen winnen.

While the persons who have been arrested were destined to travel to Iraq to wage war there, the thought of an ISIS nucleus operating within Greece or anywhere in Europe should be disturbing to everyone. Far Right: Vanguardism and mainstreaming


Er heerst op dit ogenblik een hevige (doch zeer interessante) polemiek tussen toonaangevende ver-rechtse websites in de angelsaksische wereld omtrent te volgen strategie binnen het etno-nationalisme (of zeg maar White Nationalism).

Meerbepaald gaat het om (de linken verwijzen direct naar de artikels waar de polemiek plaatsgrijpt):

The Daily Stormer van Andrew Anglin. Anglin volgt een hard-rechtse stijl waarbij geen enkel taboe onaangeroerd wordt gelaten. Anglin kiest niet alleen resoluut voor Nationaalsocialisme en het gebruik van nationaalsocialistische symbolen, doch plaatst alledaagse nieuwsfeiten op een zeer ludieke en treffende manier in context, zowel in schijfstijl als woordgebruik als illustraties. The Daily Stormer is veruit de meest succesvolle website in het genre en is in korte tijd gestegen tot veruit boven alle andere rechts getinte websites gecombineerd (de Alexa rankings geven dit aan, zie lager].

Het grote succes van Daily Stormer is een doorn in het oog van de meer "intellectuele" , ''meer gematigde'' ver-rechtse websites zoals:

Alternative Right Blog van Colin Liddell
en

Counter Currents van Greg Johnson.


De laatste twee vermijden bepaalde moeilijke topics en wensen in elk geval niet geassocieerd te worden met nazisme, zoals dat bij Anglin's Daily Stormer het geval is (die zulke associaties juist bewust aanmoedigt). Ze verwijten Anglin ervan de bewustwording bij de mainstream rechtsen tegen te werken (Anglin is volgens hen een '' Vantard'' ipv een Vanguard).

Zulks wordt eigenlijk tegengesproken door het feit dat Anglin's website op zeer korte tijd is doorgestoten tot de top van alle mogelijke rechtse websites gecombineerd en een zeer veel appeal geniet bij een brede groep jongere nationalisten.




Anglin heeft een punt door te stellen dat: hoe gematigd je ook bent als etno-nationalist en hoezeer je je ook distantieert van het nationaalsocialisme, Hitler, het Derde Rijk etc. je zal zowiezo als Nazi gebrandmerkt worden door de liberale media, dus kan je best gewoon zonder scrupules voluit Nationaalsocialisme gebruiken in je betoog. Hij heeft een punt omdat het recentelijk opnieuw aangetoond is dat gematigden zoals Richard Spencer, die nochtans alle moeite doet om het Nazi imago te vermijden, als Nazi gebrandmerkt wordt. (Richard Spencer is de aangehouden organizator van het nationalisten congres in Hongarije).


Het debat is bijzonder interessant voor wie geintersseerd is wat er leeft binnen het etno-nationalisme.
