Het enige wat ertoe doet zijn de claims.

a coupling configured to receive thermal conditioning of the energy storage from a thermal system external to the vehicle,

wherein the energy storage thermal system provides thermal conditioning of the energy system while charging when the thermal system external to the vehicle is not available
Eerlijk gezegd lijkt me dat geen sterke claim.
Een sterke claim vereist een onverwacht of ongekend technisch inzicht, maar dat is hier absoluut niet het geval.
Het inzicht dat kabels en een batterij opwarmen als je er meer stroom doorstuurt is zo oud als de straat. De wet van Ohm dateert van 1826.
En dat je opwarming kan wegkoelen, dat inzicht is wellicht nog duizenden jaren langer bekend, al van toen mensen bliezen om een te warme drank drinkbaar te maken.
