Syria Report - Al-Qaeda Get British and German Ambulances

Video footage which has emerged from the northeastern city of Deir Ezzor shows militants using ambulances, sourced from Germany and Britain to transport militants. A series of videos and photos uploaded by Al-Qaeda and FSA linked militants shows at least three ambulances – two from Germany and one from Britain. One photo shows an ambulance being used to transport armed and masked gunmen in a “parade” through the city, accompanied by a stolen Syrian Arab Army BMP troop carrier. The footage appears to show the flag of the Islamic State of Iraq and Al Sham – an Al-Qaeda affiliate who have increased their beheadings of captured civilians.

HLN - Met Belgische ambulances naar het front in Syrië
13 januari 2014 - Aan het front in Syrië rijden ziekenwagens van Belgische makelij rond. Dat schrijft Het Nieuwsblad, dat verwijst naar foto's die afgelopen weekend zijn opgedoken. De ambulances worden gebruikt door de "Valken van de Sham", een zwaarbewapende militie die steun geniet van de radicale Molenbeekse sjeik Bassam Ayachi. Officieel dienen ze om gewonde Syriërs te vervoeren, al valt aan te nemen dat ze ook voor andere doeleinden worden gebruikt.
