Kameroen is een tribale maatschappij, net als alle landen in zwart Afrika. De moslim stammen vallen op die manier minder uit de toon maar integratie kun je dit niet noemen.
Bovendien hebben
3500 Kameroeners zich aangesloten bij Boko Haram in Nigeria. De terreurgroep verkocht ook sommige van de door haar ontvoerde meisjes
als bruiden in Kameroen.

These southern youths speak Arabic, are often educated in Sudan and the Gulf countries, and are opposed to the political and economic domination of the Muslim community by the ageing, traditionalist Sufi establishment.
