Almost 50 per cent of Romanians claim their lives would have been better had there been no revolution in December 1989, while 60 per cent of them regret Nicolae Ceausescu’s death, an opinion poll conducted on December 19-21 by the Romanian Institute for Evaluation and Strategy shows.
84 per cent of them believe it was wrong to execute Ceausescu without a fair trial.
