According to NBC News, a special agent was interviewing Ibragim Todashev regarding his connections to bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev and other extremists when he was shot and killed.

An FBI agent was involved in a deadly shooting overnight that has ties to the Boston Marathon bombings.

Taramiv said he left the interview, and when he came back to the apartments, he found that there had been a shooting.

"I was completely shocked. I still can’t believe it, you know what I mean?" he said.

Taramiv said Todashev gave him his parents' phone number in case he got arrested.

An Orlando man being questioned by the FBI about his relationship with the accused Boston bombers was shot and killed early Wednesday in a "violent confrontation" with authorities, the FBI said.

The man, identified as Ibragim Todashev, was being interviewed by a special agent of the FBI "in connection with the Boston Marathon bombing investigation when a violent confrontation was initiated by the subject," the Bureau said in a statement.

"During the confrontation, the individual was killed and the agent sustained non-life threatening injuries," the FBI said, adding the incident was under review.

Interessant detail, Ibragim Todashev werd opgepakt na een ruzie met burgers op een parking, ook Ibragim was een boxer en heeft in Boston gewoond.

Kiko stelt dat het getoonde lijk van Tamerlan, Tamerlan niet is terwijl in de hele wereldpers dezelfde foto werd afgedrukt als zijnde die van Tamerlan.

Waar hij die wijsheid dan vandaan haalt scrijft hij gemakshalve even niet in zijn commentaar.

Dat herinner ik me hoegenaamd niet. Ik heb wel gezegd dat de naakte man die door de politie gearresteerd werd, achteraf niet de oudere broer bleek te zijn.

Nancy Savage, executive director of the Society of Former Special Agents of the FBI, said SWAT teams handle “normal dangerous situations,” while the Hostage Rescue Team handles larger-scale incidents that involve more specialized skill sets.

“It’s like one level up,” Savage said. “They are a very, very elite team.”

Coulson stressed that it takes more than brute strength to become a member of the Hostage Rescue Team.

“It’s not just biceps and triceps. It requires intellectual muscle, too,” he said.

To join the team, FBI agents must pass a special physical fitness test and complete a two-week selection class, Coulson said. Then, the agent must complete a 14- to 16-week “New Operator Training School.”

“It’s a national loss,” Coulson said about the deaths of Lorek and Shaw. “These are the best-trained individuals in the world.”

The photograph released by the FBI alleging to show Boston bombing suspect Dzohkahr Tsarnaev fleeing the scene without his backpack shows clear evidence of being a composite image made with software such as Photoshop.
This reporter went to the scene of the photograph and took pictures for comparison purposes, shown below.
The image is touted as evidence that the younger Tsarnaev brother arrived with a backpack but left without it, therefore possibly planting one of the bombs. In the image, a different color and pattern of brickwork can be seen adjacent to Dzhokhar's head, within a rectangle similar to what would be visible if the image were cut and pasted from a different source. The brickwork inside the rectangle also appears to be more sharply in focus than the brick around it.
The difference in brickwork can be seen using a free add-on to the Firefox web browser. By using the "Image Zoom" add-on, and zooming in to the original full-size image, investigators can reproduce the resolution and features in the images below. The full-size image is 1600 x 1200 pixels.

The apparently different backdrop in the immediate vicinity of the suspect's head and face, which shows discontinuity from the larger field of brick, suggests that the entire head and face area may have been pasted in.
