Moedige Taliban-helden onthoofden kinderen, ze zijn hiermee echter niet aan hun proefstuk toe.

Ze zouden voor de politie gespioneerd hebben in ruil voor voedsel, dat was duidelijk fout.





NY Daily News - Taliban beheads two boys for spying in southern Afghanistan after they accepted food from local police

10 juni 2013 - The bodies of the boys, aged 10 and 16, are found one day after they were abducted. The Taliban denied the attack, but the group has a long history of beheading children. Two Afghan boys believed to have accepted food from police were beheaded by the Taliban for spying, officials told BBC News. Last year the Taliban was accused of beheading a 7-year-old girl and a 12-year-old boy in two separate incidents in August. The boy's head was placed near his body to send a message to police, a spokesman for the provincial governor said at the time. The brother of the boy was a member of the Afghan Local Police.
Also last year, a 16-year-old boy in Kandahar's Zhari district accused by the Taliban of spying was found beheaded and skinned, officials said.
Last summer 17 civilians were beheaded in a Taliban-controled area of southern Afghanistan because they danced at a party, officials said. Many of the 17 were believed to be young people.

Taliban Islamist insurgents beheaded 17 party-goers, 10 Afghan soldiers were killed and two Nato troops shot dead in a new insider attack in a bloody day across Afghanistan, officials said on Monday.

The Taliban were responsible for beheading the civilians, including two women, who were holding a party with music in a southern Afghanistan village, officials said.
"I can confirm that this is the work of the Taliban," the Helmand provincial governor's spokesman Daud Ahmadi told AFP.

"Two women and 15 men were beheaded. They were partying with music in an area under the control of the Taliban."

The hardliners were notorious during their rule for public executions and the suppression of music and parties.

Nematullah Khan, the Musa Qala district chief, confirmed that the villagers had organised a party with music, and a local official said he suspected that the two women had been dancing.

Secret parties with dancing women from a gypsy-type tribe are common across southern Afghanistan.
