Hosko — a former assistant director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation and current president of the Law Enforcement Legal Defense Fund — issued a statement Sunday condemning the brutal murder of two New York Police Department officers and placing the blame for their deaths on “race provocateurs.”

“While the criminal who shot these officers down is ultimately responsible for their murders, a thoughtful society must examine the social circumstances that fostered such outrageous criminal conduct,” Hosko stated. “To those who have chosen to incite violence against law enforcement through the reckless vilification of police officers — shame on you.”

Hosko then went on to single out racial activists, the media and even government officials for fostering a hostile anti-police sentiment that led to the deaths of two officers Saturday.

“From race provocateurs looking for five minutes of fame, to those in the media who wantonly mischaracterized and sensationalized recent criminal cases, to the government officials who have repeatedly made statements designed to undermine legitimate law enforcement efforts across our nation – it’s time to reexamine your own words and actions and take your share of responsibility,” the statement continued.

However, he did not specifically name who those individuals might be.

Hosko concluded his statement with a call to understand the difficult job cops have and how their lives are threatened on a daily basis.

No mention of the other hate groups that piled into Ferguson this fall "in sympathy" for His Holiness Michael Brown, like the SEIU, Planned Parenthood, the Revolutionary Communist delegation, the Occupy anarchists, and the Department of Racial Justice.

They had five months to subvert a civil rights protest and a legitimate grand jury and turn it into an out of control lynch mob, and they took full advantage of it. Now that cops are actually getting killed, you don't hear much about these hangers on. They all slipped out the side exit.

Apparently, the news media is off chasing the next meme, animal rights protesters. Time to change the narrative, I guess.

His actions, and those of his administration, have only further divided us. Not only do we see open violence, but violence simmering under the surface. Earlier this year it was being reported that the number of police officers killed on the job was up 40 percent in 2014, and that was before all of the civil unrest caused by the deaths of Michael Brown and Eric Garner. At this point, attacks on police officers are becoming a frequent occurrence all over the country, but no incident has stunned the nation as much as the “execution-style” murder of two NYPD officers on Saturday by a radical Islamic gunman identified as Ismaaiyl Brinsley. Just prior to the attack, Brinsley posted a message on Instagram in which he declared that he was “putting wings on pigs today”. Many would like to dismiss this as an “isolated incident” and pretend that everything is just fine in America, but that is not the truth. The reality of the matter is that anti-police sentiment in this country is at an all-time high, and the level of anger and frustration in our increasingly radicalized urban communities has reached a boiling point. As economic conditions continue to deteriorate and police tactics become even more brutal in the years ahead, the kind of rioting, looting and senseless violence that we witnessed in Ferguson is going to become commonplace in major cities all over the United States.

The mainstream media and many national leaders on the left end of the spectrum have been stirring up strife and division for months on end. So now a toxic environment has been created which is inevitably going to lead to even more violence. At some recent “protest marches”, we have heard demonstrators enthusiastically chant extremely threatening slogans such as this: “What do we want? Dead cops!” And when news broke that Ismaaiyl Brinsley had brutally murdered two NYPD police officers, lots of very twisted people on Twitter were actually celebrating.

We are moving into a period of time when it is going to be extraordinarily difficult to be a police officer in America. I couldn’t even imagine going to work every day knowing that you could become the next target at any time.

Arizona’s Sheriff Joe Arpaio came on the Breitbart News Sunday Show on Sirius XM Patriot radio to talk about the national war on police with host Stephen K. Bannon. “America’s toughest Sheriff” started off with a bang telling Breitbart’s Executive News Chairman that, “I’m going to court tomorrow, down in Washington, suing Obama, so we’ll see how that goes.”

Arpaio is suing the president, arguing that the imposed executive amnesty is unconstitutional. He is also suing Obama for ordering the release of some 4,000 criminals from his jail over the last year. He told the Daily News back in November that one of the many negative effects of the new executive order “will be the increased release of criminal aliens back onto streets.”

The sheriff said that he believes the heightened rhetoric coming from politicians and community leaders about police brutality and racism “at least indirectly” caused the death of Officers Liu and Ramos on Saturday. The two NYPD officers were shot execution style by an assassin while they were eating their lunch in a patrol car.

Arpaio contends that there is no one more incendiary than Al Sharpton when it comes to race baiting. “We better tell him to chill out, knock it off, stop going to the White House sitting next to the president and talking about race,” he said. According to Arpaio there is a war against cops and he strongly believes our leaders and the media should be siding with the cops.

Andrews told Red Dirt News that the march would be held in the next “couple of weeks,” as a means of demonstrating the veracity of Missouri’s open carry law to law enforcement.

Andrews explained that he and members of his group spent almost an entire night speaking with black protestors about the events in Ferguson and the 2nd Amendment right to bear arms.
“Every person we talked to said if they carried they’d be shot by police. That’s the reason we’re going to hold this event and it will be a legal demonstration,” Andrews said. “I’m sick and tired of law enforcement who doesn’t think they have to abide by the law. Oath Keepers are made up mainly of current and former military and law enforcement officers who have sworn to place their oath to the Constitution ahead of any law or command given that violates the rights of the citizens.
Last year, Andrews told the New York Times that the group’s membership includes “a really broad group of citizens, and I’m sure their motivations are all different. In many of them, there’s probably a sense of patriotism. But I think in most of them, there’s probably something that they probably don’t even recognize: that we have a moral obligation to protect the weakest among us.”

Andrews said that the 50 African-Americans, armed with long barrel rifles, will be accompanied by Oath Keepers members during the march through downtown Ferguson.

385 doden sinds januari, dat is de trieste balans van het Amerikaanse politiegeweld. Het getal ligt veel hoger dan de federale statistieken, aangezien de plaatselijke politiediensten niet eens verplicht zijn een rapport op te stellen als ze iemand doodschieten.

De Amerikaanse politie heeft dit jaar al 385 mensen gedood, of gemiddeld 2,6 per dag, achterhaalde de Washington Post. Dat het getal zo veel hoger ligt dan de officiële statistieken heeft alles te maken met de onvolldigheid daarvan. Op plaatselijke niveau zijn rapporten dus niet verplicht.

In de Verenigde Staten is al enkele maanden een debat aan de gang over het politiegeweld, vooral tegenover de zwarte en latino gemeenschap.

In slechts drie gevallen (minder dan 1 procent) loopt een aanklacht tegen een politieagent. Na de dood van Michael Brown, een 18-jarige zwarte, in augustus vorig jaar, kwam het tot zware rellen in Ferguson (Missouri).

Afgelopen maand speelde een gelijkaardig scenario zich af in Baltimore, na de dood van de 25-jarige zwarte Freddie Gray. De krant onderzocht enkel het aantal doden door geweervuur, en deed daarvoor beroep op interviews, politieverslagen, nieuwsberichten en andere bronnen.
