Hiermee krijgt hij de controle over een gebied dat economisch zo zwaar weegt als Frankrijk en kwa populatie ook niet moet onderdoen. :lol:

Weer een republikeinse staat erbij, alsook een stukje amerika dat door een Europeaan geregeerd wordt. 8)

Nu nog zien of hij zo goed kan luisteren als Reagan en dan misschien ooit nog de grondwet aanpassen zodat hij Bush kan opvolgen? ;)

Ik heb het al eens uitgelegd. Maar dus nogmaals:

De bovenstaande tekst betekent dat om President van de VS te worden je aan volgende voorwaarde moet voldoen:

Oftewel moet je een 'natural born citizen' zijn. De definitie hiervan vind je hier (http://www.usconstitution.net/consttop_citi.html).

Oftewel moet je de Amerikaanse nationaliteit hebben op het moment dat de Constitution werd geschreven, dus 200 jaar geleden.

Voor dezelfde reden kon Henri Kissinger ook nooit President worden. In die tijd hebben ze het ook gehad over een mogelijke wijziging van de wet omdat Kissinger zo razend populair was. Maar het heeft niet mogen baten.

Anders was Kissinger waarschijnlijk President geworden.
