Idd ze gaan weer kronkelen. :-)
Dat UFO´s verscheidene nucleaire missilebasissen zomaar vanop afstand gedeactiveerd hebben is algemeen bekend, en het wordt regelmatig af en toe opgerakeld:

One of the men, Capt Robert Salas, said: "The US Air Force is lying about the national security implications of unidentified aerial objects at nuclear bases and we can prove it."
He said said he witnessed such an event first-hand on March 16, 1967, at Malmstrom Air Force Base in Montana which housed Minuteman nuclear missiles.
Capt Salas continued: "I was on duty when an object came over and hovered directly over the site.
"The missiles shut down - 10 Minuteman missiles. And the same thing happened at another site a week later. There's a strong interest in our missiles by these objects, wherever they come from. I personally think they're not from planet Earth."
Others claim to have seen similar activity in the UK.
Col Charles Halt** said he saw a UFO at the former military base RAF Bentwaters, near Ipswich, 30 years ago # , during which he saw beams of light fired into the base then heard on the military radio that aliens had landed inside the nuclear storage area.
He said: "I believe that the security services of both the United States and the United Kingdom have attempted - both then and now - to subvert the significance of what occurred at RAF Bentwaters by the use of well-practised methods of disinformation."
The site was then the base of the US 81st Tactical Fighter Wing.
Capt Bruce Fenstermacher, a former US Air Force officer, also claims he saw a cigar-shaped UFO hovering above a nuclear base in Wyoming in 1976.

** The Halt memo[edit]
The first piece of primary evidence to be made available to the public was a memorandum written by the **deputy base commander, Lt. Col. Charles I. Halt, to the Ministry of Defence (MoD). Known as the "Halt memo", this was made available publicly in the United States under the US Freedom of Information Act in 1983.[15] The memorandum (left), was dated "13 Jan 1981" and headed "Unexplained Lights". The two-week delay between the incident and the report might account for errors in dates and times given. The memo was not classified in any way.[16] Dr David Clarke, a consultant to the National Archives, has investigated the background to this memo and the reaction to it at the Ministry of Defence. His interviews with the personnel involved confirmed the cursory nature of the investigation made by the MoD, and failed to find any evidence for any other reports on the incident made by the USAF or UK apart from the Halt memo.[17] Halt has since gone on record as saying he believes that he witnessed an extraterrestrial event that was then covered up.[18]
The Halt Tape[edit]
In 1984, a copy of what became known as the "Halt Tape" was released to UFO researchers by Col Sam Morgan, who had by then succeeded Ted Conrad as Halt's superior. This tape chronicles Halt's investigations in the forest in real time, including taking radiation readings, the sighting of the flashing light between trees and the starlike objects that hovered and twinkled. The tape has been transcribed by researcher Ian Ridpath, who includes a link to an audio download[19] and also a step-by-step analysis of the entire contents of the tape.[20]
