EU Raad Simulatie in Leuven : 23-26 oktober
 

Van 23 tot 26 oktober is er in Leuven een simulatie van de Raad van de Europese Unie. Een unieke kans dus om dichtbij huis (er is ook een trip naar de Europese wijk in Brussel gepland) voeling te krijgen met het Europese beleidsniveau. Op http://www.leceus.org vind je alvast meer informatie.

-> The simulation. The participants will be playing the role of a government official of one of the 27 Member States. Each delegation will count 5 members: including a
Head of Government or State and four specialised Ministers who will be attending
the meetings of different configurations of the Council.

-> Discussion topics. LECEUS will provide a dossier to every participant to help them prepare for the discussion in the simulation. This dossier will outline technical
information on the issues on the agenda. It is, however, the responsibility of the
individual participants to research ‘their’ Member State’s position. For an initial

-> Costs. The standard participation fee for the simulation is 90 EUR pp. This fee
covers:

- participation in the simulation
- 3 nights in the business hotel ‘Novotel’ in the city centre of Leuven
- three meals a day
- a formal dinner
- a trip to the ‘European Quarter’ in Brussels (EU institutions)
Participants who do not wish to stay in Novotel pay a reduced participation fee of 50 EUR pp.

Het dient dus om in de eerste plaats aan te tonen dat Europa geldverslindend is?

Dat lijkt me een vrij redelijke prijs voor de hele organisatie die er achter steekt + 3 nachten hotel.
