Since the dawn of democracy 14 years ago, South Africa has been on the upward path of social, political and economic development. On the domestic front, Apartheid and racial divisions have been dismantled to pave way for the rue bonding of the nation. The Rainbow Nation, a term fondly used to refer tho the diverse heritages of it's people, is in progress on a daily bases to bridge the divisions from the past in every aspect of their lives including education, Science and Technology and the Arts just to name a few.

On the International front, South Africa has been a very active member of the gloal community since its re-integration 14 years ago. It is a strong believer of multilaterism and suports initiatives to bring about lasting peace and security in Africa and the world as a whole.
