Alerta Action Day
Citaat:

The next “Action Day“of the antifascist football fan network “Alerta” deals with the theme “resistance against fascism and the actual societal and historical-political intercourse of it”.
The then wide resistance against fascism, racial paranoia and annihilation in Europe, due to all its forms of appearance, is mostly criminalized, ignored or, in system conform parts due to the actual state policy, exploited in today’s historiography. But antifascist resistance was much more than civic historians or the media want to make us believe. It was the uprising of humanity, solidarity and the active fight against the barbarism.
Paul Weiss once wrote incisively (in the third part of his writing “The Aesthetics of Resistance”): “(…) As long as there is the will to resistance, there is culture as well.” Culture vanishes in silence and accommodation, just ceremony and ritual remains.”
It was this urge to stand up against hegemony and totalitarian structures which drove the people all across Europe to rise up against fascism and its machinery of war and annihilation, if it was for pure fighting for survival or for political beliefs. We think of all men and women in the Spanish Civil War, the Resistance in France, and the guerrillas in Eastern Europe, in the Balkans, in Greece or in Italy, the resistance in Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Austria or any other country. That was living international solidarity!
It is our duty as today’s generation of Antifascists to remember and keep alive these events (most of the time witnesses have already died) and to step against the growing historical revisionism and the transfiguration of offender and victim perspective. Our comrades have at their time acted in our names as well, in the name of the upcoming generation, and have fought fascism with everything they could. Neither torture, nor terror, nor murder was able to stop them because their will and their beliefs have been stronger. This legacy is and remains our duty.
We must not allow that antifascism is getting criminalized in retrospective and that facts are turned upside down. The ones that have shot first, have tortured first and have killed first have been the fascists! Resistance was not only legitimate but necessary, at the most in a period of time in which the majority of society was also offender or at least belonged to the silent masses.
Alerta Network wants to make precisely this to a subject of discussion on the coming Action Day. Furthermore we want to create the local reference of history of our cities and our clubs in particular. It is our aim to make our “curva” face history and to draw inspiration from it for coming necessary fights. There will be actions in the particular “curvas”, lectures, information material considering local members of resistance, there will be workshops, podium discussions, alternative city guides, dialogues with time witnesses, honors of local antifascists or victims out of the own clubs. The offer and the ideas have no limits and our network will always speak loudly and creatively against the current circumstances:
For freedom and for the multifaceted and multicoloured life!
Antifascism never was and will never be criminal!
Against historical revisionism!!! Your resistance will never be forgotten!!!
Never again war!!! Never again fascism!!!

Ik weet dat gewoon copy-pasten normaal niet mag, maar hier kan ik niet veel aan toevoegen, gewoon een vet initiatief.
