Herman van Veen vs. Geert Wilders
Herman van Veen vs. Geert Wilders
Citaat:

TOCQUEVILLE, ALEXIS DE, makes a great point while discussing the French Revolution, that only when the reforms were put in place by Louis XVI, the citizens got a true taste for change. They learned that change was really possible and pushed for a total change. The changes which we associate with the French Revolution were started while the Ancien Régime was still functioning.
His view of how the ordinary people were treated reminds me of today, when there really does not seem to be any protection for the truly poor. In Holland they have installed a system where the Prosecutor (Officier van Justitie) pronounces the sentence. Some courts can even decide against revision, that there is no higher court to look at their rulings. The system of free attorneys has been made a hilarious joke.
Now I ask in the light of an organised effort to stem the Wilders revolution, the political parties and Dutch government is only feeding its momentum, because the people might consider these actions by the status quo as proof that Wilders is bringing a positive change.
Then to me the opposition against Wilders sounds very weak, as if people actually agree with his views but have some vague trouble with his methods. Yes, the blacks and Moslems are the problem, but there is disagreement of how to get rid of them; by persuading them to leave or to exterminate them. Off course the first victims, the Blacks and Moslems are never asked how they feel about what is decided about them. This new incident, right at this point in time really makes me feel we are running towards the end.
