Beste,

Waar komt je pseudoniem eigenlijk vandaan?

Ooit had je een link met een video met een liedje als handtekening geplaatst, maar toen ik die trachtte terug te vinden, stootte ik hierop:

Nu is het liedje van La Mala wel onvolprezen, maar veel wijzer geraken we er natuurlijk niet uit.

Kan je daarom eens een uitgebreide verklaring posten?

De uitleg is in feite simpel: txiki heeft in het Baskisch een letterlijke en een figuurlijke betekenis. Letterlijk: klein. Figuurlijk: sympathiek. In beide betekenissen wordt txiki als roepnaam gebruikt. Er lopen in Baskenland duizenden Txiki's rond. Natuurlijk, de meest bekende Txiki's zijn de ETA-militant Juan Paredes "Txiki" en Aitor 'Txiki' Begiristain Mujica. Ook ik werd door sommige mensen Txiki genoemd, maar niet door m'n vrienden, want daar zat al een Txiki tussen.

Zie je? Txiki's genoeg. Het is niet meer dan een alledaagse roepnaam in Baskenland.
