Dit nieuws zou wel wat mee mediaaandacht mogen krijgen. Regelmatig tonen deze twee, soms gesteund door wat andere Angessaxen of wat minuscule eilandjes in de Pacific, zich als de rogue nations bij het stemmen van resoluties die vrede en mensenrechten pogen te bevorderen...resoluties tegen landmijnen, of voor kinderrechten, of voor de rechten van de inheemse volkeren...allemaal tegengestemd door eenzelfde select clubje van een paar agressieve landen die de internationale rechtsorde niet willen respecteren.

Je zou een omgekeerd beeld krijgen moest je de gecontroleerde westerse media willen geloven ...de feiten zijn er nochthans voor degenen die willen zien.

Waar we het over hebben zijn 2 landen die tegen een voorstel stemmen dat terrorisme moet tegengaan.

De algemene vergadering is democratischer en vertegenwoordigt alle landen. Geen vetos.

De gevolgen tot op vandaag voelbaar want de resolutie werd geïgnoreerd door de tegenstem van de VS en Israël.

De tegenstem was er omwill van volgende paragrafen blijkbaar

door het niet steunen van de resolutie poogden de VS het appartheidsregime in Zuid Afrika (Het ANC was een terroristische organizatie volgens de VS) en de Israëlische bezetting van Palestina een hart onder de riem te steken, wordt gezegd maar eigenlijk komt het er gewoon op neer dat de VS zich het recht voorbehouden om iemand als terrorist te bestempelen op niet, hiermee voorbijgaande aan een internationale rechtsorde. Deze houding zich boven de internationale rechtsorde verheven te voelen is een systematische houding. William Blum geeft een lijstje van 150 resoluties in zijn boek Rogue nations waar de VS met 1 of twee anderen alleen stond in de oppositie tegen de rest van d ewereld in (en dat over een periode van slechts 10 jaar). Dat is de inhoud niet van die resolutie.

Selectief-inhoudelijk blind, Dixie ? :lol:

neen, het bewijst gewoonweg dat de VS en Israel niet tegen het terroriseren en bezetten van andere landen zijn, maar ik begrijp dat dit niet in jouw kraam past, dus best negeren of VS-bril opzetten, hé. :lol:

Enkel Veiligheidsraadresoluties, die niet-democratische weet ge, zijn ´bindend´, de andere resoluties zijn "maar aanbevelingen".

Hamas waren de agressors en zij zijn dan ook de enigste schuldigen van deze slachtoffers!
