Politics.be - Kosovo en Brussel vergelijkbaar

Ik heb geprobeerd aan een Serviër in het Engels uit te leggen dat hij best Kosovo vergeet.
Dat we al 400 dagen zonder regering zitten etc...

PS laat deze topic aub in de rubriek verkiezingen 2010 en regeringsvorming staan.

Klopt misschien ook niet 100 procent, maar ik heb gewoon in het Engels proberen uitleggen. BTW schiet mij aub niet af dat ik Brussel bij Vlaamse onafhankelijkheid zou kunnen laten loslaten.

what I would like to say.
But not in a forum cause this is a forum about songs and not about politics.

For me Yugoslavians have never existed.
I mean there are Croats, Serbs, Montenegrins, Albanian, Slovenes, Macedonians and Bosnjaks (Moslims in Bosnia).

For so far good countries are certainly Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Albania, Slovenia and Macedonia.
I know Albania was never a part of Yugoslavia.
The most inhabitants of Kosovo are Albanians, so an independant Kosovo likes me better for Serbia, they will never accept that Kosovo should join Albania.

Then there is Bosnia-Herzegovina, in my eyes not a good country at all.

The part that is called Srpska should better join Serbia, there live many Serbs there.
And the other part where are especially Moslims, and in less part Croats, should better be independant and keep the name Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Should be much better, they are now 2 republics in one country who doesn't have really a big nation-feeling.

I think Serbia should better forget Kosovo, it's already lost. It's for the biggest part Albanian people who lives there. So why continueing trying to keep it. UN was about 10 years the leader there. After that it became independant.

We have a simular situation here. I would say like you don't have Yugoslavians, you dont have Belgians.
There are Flemish who speak Dutch and live in the north. You have Walloons who speak French and live in the south.

Flanders as a county from 862 till 1795, so you can certainly talk about Flemish.
We have seperate television, singers, .... in Dutch, and the Walloons of course in French.

From 1815 till 1830 they created something called United Kingdom of the Netherlands. But in 1830 there was a stupid revolution and the bad thing, they created Belgium and the Netherlands.

The Netherlands a completely Dutchspeaking nation. Belgium existed since then in Flemish and Walloon people.

If things were happened better, the Flemish part should be by the Netherlands in 1830. And we would have been now about 180 years later Dutch people.

It's just stupid cause from 1830 on till about let's say about 1900 French was the language used in governments, etc... They always tried to dominate the Flemish but they never succeeded in making the Flemish people Frenchspeaking persons.

Since 1830 there were always troubles between Flemish and Walloonspeaking people, and 180 years later nothing changes, we are 2 different people.

Why keep it together, I don't understand it. Now its about 400 days without government because the Flemish politicians don't agree with the Walloon politicians.

Brussel-Halle-Vilvoorde has to be splitted, a normal situation. To difficult to explain. But the Walloons doesn't want to split it cause now Frenchspeaking people living in the region Halle-Vilvoorde can vote for Walloon list in Brussels.

There are 11 voting areas.
The 5 Walloon provinces, then the 4 Flemish provinces, and then you have area Leuven, and you have area Brussel-Halle-Vilvoorde.

But that's the thing that it's not normal! There are 5 Flemish provinces! And for the voting system 1 province is splitted in two parts: Leuven and Brussel-Halle-Vilvoorde.

It would be normal that that province is also a voting area, and that so Halle-Vilvoorde would be together with Leuven in the same voting area.

Then you should have the 5 Walloon provinces, the 5 Flemish provinces and Brussels as 11 areas.

The Flemish are angry about the French list, you now, they already poisened Brussels with there French language.

Brussels was originally Dutch and was always a part of Flanders. But now it's about 90 procent Frenchspeaking. And they are trying to poisen the region Halle-Vilvoorde also with there French language.
And we don't want that.

That's one of the things why we don't have a government.

As I say, Brussels is already poisened, and for me if Flanders become independant it may be without Brussels. It's already a lost area. It's French, Arabic, ..., there live all kind of people there.

That's why I would say, forget Kosovo, I can forget Brussels, it's already lost.

Save what we can save and keep that together.

By the way, Brussels is surrounded completely by Flanders.
Kosovo isn't even surrounded.

But if Flanders should become 1 day independant, i think Brussels wil be runned by Europe. A sort of Monaco maybe.

Walloon could join France or rest independant.
