25 redenen waarom het misschien tijd wordt voor de financiële wereld om te beginnen panikeren.

Ik zou het eerder zien als een mogelijkheid om eindelijk eens orde op zaken te stellen en heel die financiële wereld uit te zuiveren. Te beginnen met het liquideren van de gehele private banksector.

Central banks and official bodies have parked record sums of dollars at the US Federal Reserve for safe-keeping, indicating a clear loss of trust in commercial banks.

Data from the St Louis Fed shows that reserve funds from "official foreign accounts" have doubled since the start of the year, with a dramatic surge since the end of July when the eurozone debt crisis spread to Italy and Spain.

"This shows a pervasive loss of confidence in the European banking system," said Simon Ward from Henderson Global Investors. "Central banks are worried about the security of their deposits so they are placing the money with the Fed."

The slowdown in the world economy has accelerated the timing and likelihood of a new global financial crisis, gloom-and-doom economist Nouriel Roubini said last week.

“I thought a few months ago that the perfect storm would be 2013, but now, the economic weakness in the U.S., eurozone and U.K. is front-loaded,” he said.

“So we're going to double-dip earlier. The climax of it could be 2013 or it could be already earlier,” said Mr. Roubini, co-founder and chairman of Roubini Global Economics LLC, and a professor of economics at New York University's Leonard N. Stern School of Business.

“It depends on what policy tools are available,” he said.

With the eurozone in crisis, facing a record-high cost for insuring bank debt, there is a 60% probability that most advanced economies will fall into a recession, Mr. Roubini said.

Meanwhile, authorities are running out of options to provide emergency support, Mr. Roubini said.

“You need to restore economic growth, not five years from now. You need to restore it today,” he said.

“In the short term, we need to do massive stimulus; otherwise, there's going to be another Great Depression,” he said. “Things are getting worse, and the big difference between now and a few years ago is that this time around, we're running out of policy bullets.”

Another financial crisis “is already manifesting itself” in developed economies, Mr. Roubini said.

Morgen 15 september 2011 is het exact drie jaar geleden dat Lehman Brothers bescherming vroeg tegen het bankroet.

Lehman had een actief op de balans van 600 miljard dollar fiat-munten (om deze dollar fiat-munten bij te creëren wordt dagelijks op de enter toets gedrukt, op het klavier van de PC).

En wie gaat het morgen zijn?

Eigenlijk wel, en heel veel zelfs. Zo veel dat de burgers het direct en zwaar gaan voelen in hun zakken.

De burgers zullen dat voelen in hun zakken. Maar de media zullen wel klaarstaan om er op te wijzen dat moest er geen bailout gebeurd zijn, de burgers het nog veel harder zouden voelen. En op korte termijn beschouwd zou de media daarin gelijk hebben natuurlijk.
