ECB : Mario Draghi welcomes the agreement on the SSM
 

Mario Draghi, President of the European Central Bank (ECB), welcomes the agreement on theSingle Supervisory Mechanism (SSM) reached by the ECOFIN in unanimity.The agreement marks an important step towards a stable economic and monetary union, andtowards further European integration.Following a successful conclusion of the trialogue between the European Parliament, theCouncil and the European Commission, and after the adoption of the legal acts, the ECB willlaunch the preparations so that the SSM can be established within the timeline foreseen by theECOFIN.
