Gepubliceerd op 23 juni 2013 Door IslamLite
Since the Murder of soldier Lee Rigby, attentions have been shifted towards the Takfiri ideology, an extremist school of thought which has emanated from Saudi Arabia. Muslim Leaders stress that although Takfiri preachers claim they oppose Western ideologies, it is the Muslims ,who have been the biggest and real victims of Takfiri groups.

Takfiri (uit Wikipedia )

A Takfiri (from Arabic: تكفيري‎ takfīrī) is a Muslim who accuses another Muslim of apostasy.[1] The accusation itself is called takfir, derived from the word kafir (infidel) and is described as when "...one who is, or claims to be, a Muslim is declared impure."[2]

In principle the only group authorised to declare a Muslim a kafir is the ulema, and this is only done, once all the prescribed legal precautions have been taken.[2] However a growing number of splinter Salafist groups, labeled by some scholars as Salafi-Takfiris,[3] have split from the orthodox method of establishing takfir through the processes of the law, and have reserved the right to declare apostasy themselves.

Takfiris believe in Islam strictly according to their interpretation of Muhammad's and his companions' alleged actions and statements, and do not accept any deviation from their path; they reject any reform or change to their interpretation of religion as it was allegedly revealed in the time of the prophet. Those who change their religion from Islam to any other way of life, or deny any of the fundamental foundations of Islam, or who worship, follow or obey anything other than Islam, become those upon whom the takfiris declare the "takfir", calling them apostates from Islam and so no longer Muslim.

De Takfiri, de vijand van de moslimwereld, "the enemy within"...

Le Monde Diplomatique - Global jihad splits into wars between Muslims - Takfirism: a messianic ideology

juli 2007 door Syed Saleem Shahzad

Takfirism is a centuries-old belief that suddenly revived among Islamic militants in Egypt after the Israeli victory in 1967. It claims that the Muslim ummah (the community of believers) has been weakened by deviation in the practice of Islam. Takfirism classifies all non-practising Muslims as kafirs (infidels) and calls upon its adherents to abandon existing Muslim societies, settle in isolated communities and fight all Muslim infidels.

Small isolated groups of Takfirist militants survived throughout the Arab world in the 1970s. They regrouped alongside the mujahideen in Afghanistan in the 1980s, during the war of resistance against Soviet forces. The Egyptian Ayman al-Zawahiri, the Uzbek leader Tahir Yuldash and Sheikh Essa, who were later the top leadership of al-Qaida, were among the fiercest proponents of Takfirism in these years. After the US invasion it flourished in Iraq, where the al-Qaida leader Abu Musab Al-Zarqawi, killed in June 2006, was a leading exponent.

After 2003 Takfirism gained support among al-Qaida’s middle leadership and the rank and file. These ideologues were no longer defined by their hatred of the US military machine. Takfirism encompassed the belief that infidels within Muslim societies gave strength to the enemy and were a danger to be eliminated. Leaders of infidel Muslim societies were prime candidates for elimination before those who had been led astray from Islam could be brought back into the fold. The Takfirists were enemies of all non-practising Muslims. The difficult, isolated terrain of North and South Waziristan was their new sanctuary.

They were different from the ideologues of al-Qaida in the 1990s, who had concentrated upon driving out western occupying forces from Muslim territories. The Takfirists focused on the enemy within. The lesson they learned after 9/11 was simple: they had been ransomed for US dollars and bombed by both western and Pakistani infidels. Henceforth, they would make no distinction between Muslims and Christians or between presidents Musharraf and Bush. The elimination of the enemy within was a necessary preliminary to any showdown with outsiders. Repeated assassination attempts against Musharraf during the past four years must be viewed within this context.

This dual sensibility afflicts all Takfirist militants, whether in al-Qaida or its allied groups. They must continue their war against western armies, but meanwhile will lay down the basis for a conformist Islamic state to keep dissenting brethren in line. As well as raising the standard of rebellion against Muslim states, they have attacked moderate pro-Islamic reformists inside resistance groups based in the Waziristans. Takfirists abhor Shiism, which they regard as an unacceptable deviation from Islam. Sectarian warfare has assumed a partnership with jihad, over which it often takes precedence. Takfirism is messianic – the sole leadership of Muslims against apostates and the infidel West.

De Takfiri : Moslims die andere moslims en "ongelovige honden" afslachten, dat is waar het regime van Assad zich tegen verzet.

The Daily Star - Takfiri groups predominate ranks of Syrian rebels
25 mei 2013 - BEIRUT: The head of Hezbollah denounced Saturday Syrian rebels seeking the ouster of his ally President Bashar Assad, saying Takfiri groups predominated the ranks of rebels which he said could pose a danger to Lebanon and all its religious sects.

“If the Takfiri groups gain control of border areas with Lebanon, they will pose a threat to both Muslims and Christians,” Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah said.

Takfiris view Muslims deviating from their religious views and non-Muslims alike as infidels.

Citaat:

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei broke his silence on the Iraq developments on Sunday. The semi-official Fars news agency reported that Khamenei made four key points:
A) “The hegemonic Western powers, especially the US” are responsible for the crisis in Iraq. B) The US instigated the crisis to upturn the results of the recent parliamentary elections in Iraq so as to “dominate Iraq and bring to power those who obey it”. C) The US is trying to portray the conflict as a Sunni-Shia sectarian war, which is not at all the case, since the “main elements behind the seditions” in northern Iraq are as much opposed to the “faithful” Sunnis as well as those who cherish their country’s independence as much as they are opposed to the Shi’ites. D) Tehran opposes foreign intervention in Iraq. (here).
The timing is important. Khamenei spoke two days after US president Barack Obama ordered the dispatch of a 300-strong contingent of military advisors to Baghdad. Evidently, Tehran has made a full spectrum evaluation of the Iraq situation and estimates that Washington is pitching for a ‘regime change’ in Baghdad by ousting Prime Minister Nouri Al-Maliki.
Tehran has come to conclude that there is a direct American hand behind the what is being projected as a surge of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant [ISIL] but involves elements belonging to the erstwhile ‘Awakening’ the the US intelligence created during the occupation period.
Interestingly, the commander of Iran’s Basij (paramilitary militia created by Imam Khomeini, which is linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps and reports directly to the Supreme Leader) General Mohammad Reza Naqdi (who is a close aide to Khamenei and is an experienced intelligence officer) has made a startling disclosure today in Tehran that the US intelligence “lured” some of the ex-Ba’athist Iraqi army commanders in Mosul to defect. (here).
Khamenei’s remarks come as a reality check. They imply that no meaningful dialogue between Washington and Tehran is possible as of now, because Iran remains deeply distrustful of the American intentions in Iraq.
Tehran is effectively opposing the US game plan to undermine Maliki, whose faction emerged as by far the single largest grouping in the recent elections, winning 98 seats in the 328-member Iraqi parliament. Clearly, Khamenei has poured cold water on the spin by American pundits and media that a US-Iran dalliance over Iraq’s future is round the corner.
Tehran also apprehends that there could be a team effort behind the apparent ISIL surge in northern Iraq, involving the US and its Gulf allies. To be sure, Iran will have taken note that the US secretary of state John Kerry dropped by in Cairo today out of the blue so soon after the extraordinary trip there on Friday by Saudi King Abdullah ostensibly to felicitate the newly-elected president Abdel Fattah al-Sisi. (King Abdullah never travels abroad due to precarious health condition.)
In fact, in a separate remark on Sunday, the chairman of Iran’s Expediency Council and former president Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani repeated that the “plot” in Iraq was “hatched by the West, especially the US” and that “hidden hands” of “certain regional countries and outsiders” are supporting the ISIL. (here).
