Tuurlijk heeft Turkije een verborgen liefde voor IS.

Ataturk keert zich in zijn graf. Hij heeft gevochten om van het decadente en totalitaire kalifaat af te geraken, succesvol een nieuwe seculiere maatschappij opgezet en Turkije heeft er wel bij gevaren. Erdogan heeft deze maatschappij stap voor stap, stuk voor stuk afgebrokkeld en hij heeft daarvoor de democratie gebruikt (komt bekend voor?). Er zijn regio's in Turkije die dit inzien, maar ze geraken snel in de verdrukking en verliezen steeds sneller hun rechten om zich ertegen te verzetten.

The prime source of money feeding ISIS these days is sale of Iraqi oil from the Mosul region oilfields where they maintain a stronghold. The son of Erdoğan it seems is the man who makes the export sales of ISIS-controlled oil possible.

Bilal Erdoğan owns several maritime companies. He has allegedly signed contracts with European operating companies to carry Iraqi stolen oil to different Asian countries. The Turkish government buys Iraqi plundered oil which is being produced from the Iraqi seized oil wells. Bilal Erdoğan’s maritime companies own special wharfs in Beirut and Ceyhan ports that are transporting ISIS’ smuggled crude oil in Japan-bound oil tankers.

Gürsel Tekin vice-president of the Turkish Republican Peoples’ Party, CHP, declared in a recent Turkish media interview, “President Erdoğan claims that according to international transportation conventions there is no legal infraction concerning Bilal’s illicit activities and his son is doing an ordinary business with the registered Japanese companies, but in fact Bilal Erdoğan is up to his neck in complicity with terrorism, but as long as his father holds office he will be immune from any judicial prosecution.” Tekin adds that Bilal’s maritime company doing the oil trades for ISIS, BMZ Ltd, is “a family business and president Erdoğan’s close relatives hold shares in BMZ and they misused public funds and took illicit loans from Turkish banks.”

In addition to son Bilal’s illegal and lucrative oil trading for ISIS, Sümeyye Erdoğan, the daughter of the Turkish President apparently runs a secret hospital camp inside Turkey just over the Syrian border where Turkish army trucks daily being in scores of wounded ISIS Jihadists to be patched up and sent back to wage the bloody Jihad in Syria, according to the testimony of a nurse who was recruited to work there until it was discovered she was a member of the Alawite branch of Islam, the same as Syrian President Bashar al-Assad who Erdoğan seems hell-bent on toppling.

Hoofdredacteur staat terecht:

A Turkish prosecutor asked a court to imprison the editor-in-chief of Cumhuriyet newspaper pending trial for espionage and treason. In May, the outlet published photos of weapons it said were then transferred to Syria by Turkey’s intelligence agency.

Besides the editor, Can Dündar, the prosecution said it is seeking the same pre-trial restrictions for Cumhuriyet’s representative in Ankara, Erdem Gül.

Dündar arrived at an Istanbul court on Thursday, saying that he and his colleague “came here to defend journalism.”

“We came here to defend the right of the public to obtain the news and their right to know if their government is feeding them lies. We came here to show and to prove that governments cannot engage in illegal activity and defend this,” Dündar was cited by Today’s Zaman.

The articles, published on Cumhuriyet's front page in May, claimed that Turkey’s National Intelligence Organization (MİT) is smuggling weapons in trucks into Syria and was caught doing so twice in 2014. The trucks were allegedly stopped and searched by police, with photos and videos of their contents obtained by Cumhuriyet.

According to the paper, the trucks were carrying six steel containers, with 1,000 artillery shells, 50,000 machine gun rounds, 30,000 heavy machine gun rounds and 1,000 mortar shells. The arms were reportedly delivered to extremist groups fighting against the Syrian government of President Bashar Assad, whom Ankara wants ousted from power.

The Turkish authorities denied the allegations, saying that the trucks were carrying aid to Syrian ethnic Turkmen tribespeople and labeled their interception an act of “treason” and “espionage.”

De Russische luchtmacht had het uitgevoerde manoeuver de laatste week al twintig of dertig maal uitgevoerd.

Telkens werd dicht bij de Turkse grens geopereerd maar niet erover.

Welk belang heeft Rusland erbij om de grens te overschrijden?

De Turken kenden het traject van het Russische toestel op voorhand, van op het moment dat het opsteeg.

De aanval was een aanval zoals je iemand aanvalt met een mes in de rug, met voorbedachte rade.

Rotzakken

Ergens zie ik wel de ironie, dat Rusland klaagt over de steun, die Turkije geeft aan Turkse minderheden in Syrië (lijkt verdacht veel op hoe de Russen steun geven in het Oosten van de Oekraïne).

Op voorhand beramen? Worden de Turken echt 'Byzantijns' benauwd over een brede coalitie tegen ISIS? Het Turkije van Atatürk of de Ottomanen* had daar hun hand niet voor omgedraaid (*= immers hun sultan was ook de kalief).
Ik weet vrijwel zeker, dat de rest van de NAVO klaagde over de 'triggerhappy' Turken, dan de allichte wat vrijpostige Russen, dan begeleid je die wildvliegers weer van je erf af.
