Als dit maar niet om een spellingsfout gaat :-)

to fool: cheat, decieve
to foul: 1. make or become foul (chimneys that foul air with smoke);
2. collide (with), (cause to) become entangled (the rope fouled the
anchor chain); 3. (sport) commit a foul against (to foul an opponent).

Basically komt foul neer op: vervuilen, botsen, verstrengeld geraken, een
hak zetten.

Het probleem is dat hij zich uiteraard geen reet aantrekt van wat we buiten
de US van hem denken.

Zelfs de website georgewbush.com is offline gezet voor iedereen buiten
Amerika.

Maar goed. Zullen we de derde wereldoorlog krijgen? Daar komt het op neer.

Het menneke wil Iran en Noord-Korea aanvallen en van Europa trekt hij zich
geen kloten aan.

En hij heeft groot gelijk; als ik mijn vinger op de knop van IJstijd
II had, dan zou het mij ook niet veel kunnen schelen.

Een wereldoorlog veronderstelt een conflict tussen tegenstanders van
vergelijkbaar niveau. Maak u geen illusies, ondanks alle propaganda is
het internationaal terroristendom bijlange niet van het niveau van de
VS, en als iemand in Washington ooit de beslissing neemt om er met de
grove borstel door te gaan (lees: een paar Maghreb-steden doen licht
geven in het donker) dan is er bitter weinig wat de rest van de wereld
daar momenteel tegen kan doen. De VS is nog altijd in staat om
comfortabel te overleven met haar grenzen potdicht.
