Ik kon het toch niet laten om hier even een topic over te maken.

Er zitten mensen in onze nationale politiek die op dit niveau Engels spreken op de live televisie. De Hollanders hebben weer iets om mee te lachen bij de eindejaarsshow. Los van het feit dat Francken ligt te zeiken over antisemitisme terwijl massa's onschuldige kinderen in Gaza worden mishandeld en afgemaakt.

Die zin heeft echt alles. Een foutieve letterlijke vertaling van een spreekwoord dat dus niet in het Engels bestaat.

Het Engels van Verhofstadt klinkt afgrijselijk maar is tenminste nog min of meer correct. Het Engels van Theo is geschikt voor "In de gloria" :lol:
