Het is nog niet zoveel is als de VS maar langzaam aan maar zeker herstelt de RF zich terug. Wie weet wordt het machtsevenwicht terug herstelt..en komen we terug in een bipolaire wereld...

RF to spend RBL 4,939 bln to purchase weapons – Ivanov

MOSCOW, May 29 (Itar-Tass) - Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Sergei Ivanov said Russia would spend 4,939 billion roubles to be used to purchase weapons.
Ivanov told President Vladimir Putin on Monday, “Under the 2007-2015 state arms programme, Russia will spend 4,939 billion roubles for this purpose.” “The draft programme will be considered at a session of the commission on the military-industrial complex on June 2.”
“The Defence Ministry will be provided 4,000 billion roubles and about 1,000 billion roubles will be allocated to other power-yielded structures,” the minister said, adding, “under the new programme, over 63 percent of all funding will be provided to purchase batches of armament.”
“Thus, we’ll continue developing our strategic nuclear forces and others. We intend to re-equip certain units and formations. In 2007 we’re planning to begin re-equipping our Armed Forces,” Ivanov stressed. “Such approach will allow us to produce high technology weapons. We’ll give priority to those enterprises, which produce high technology weapons,” he added.
The draft programme is agreed on with all ministries and agencies. The programme is worked out by the Defence Ministry, which takes into account major tasks of the defence policy, plans of the development of Armed Forces and the concept of military-technical cooperation, the minister pointed out.

... and by the way, the november wheat harvest in Vladivostok was a great success.


Dat ze eens eerst proberen om hun leger deftig te financieren, want dat is een gruwelijke ramp. Dan kunnen we nog eens klappen over die serieuze herbewapening. De beer brult wel al, maar mankt nog een beetje denk ik.

De Russische strijdkrachten zijn nooit een echte "vetpot" geweest voor soldaat Pjotr Normalski ;-)

Een ding hebben de Russische strijdkrachten altijd behouden,hun genadeloosheid,hun onverschilligheid voor verliezen....(het was DE PERS die de verliezen in Tjetsjenie als "catastrofaal" bestempelde,terwijl de Russische strijdkrachten toch regelmatig zware verliezen leden in al hun oorlogen)

Nochtans beheersen die "klunzen" nog altijd het grootste deel van het Euraziatisch continent,zelfs in massas landen waar geen Russische vlag wappert.

Ondertussen moet ook de EU braaf zijn en opzitten om aan olie en gas te raken,of uberhaupt te mogen mee-investeren en winstmaken in de exploitatie ervan...


Dit kenmerkt toch wel een echte macht denk ik,binnen niet al te lange tijd bezit de Russische federatie meer invloed dan de Sovjet-Unie ooit gehad heeft....:roll:
