Brother-in-law jailed over 'honour killing'

A GUNMAN who blasted his brother-in-law to death in a family honour killing has been jailed for at least 30 years, it can now be revealed.

Khyber Khan acted as 'judge, jury and executioner' during the revenge murder of 42-year-old Mohammed Shaheen, who had been accused of sexual abuse.

Khan was convicted of the cold-blooded killing three weeks ago, but the trial judge ordered that nothing could be reported for legal reasons.

Mr Shaheen had been accused of a string of sex offences - some going back nine years - and a few weeks before the murder it was claimed his behaviour was becoming 'ever more alarming'.

The judge told him: "This was an offence committed in a cold-blooded, premeditated fashion, the motive for which was to avenge what you perceived to be an insult and the good name of your family because he had been accused of indecently touching the victims - and you believed the allegations.
