War on fakes heeft daar het volgende over te zeggen:
Citaat:
Fake news:
The Russian Armed Forces have placed explosives near four power units of the Zaporizhzhya NPP. The head of Ukrainian military intelligence Kyrylo Budanov said this in an interview with the British publication The New Statement.
The fact:
Russian servicemen have not mined any power units at Zaporizhzhia NPP. Two International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) mission specialists are permanently at the plant. They would certainly have reported on the potentially dangerous actions of the Russian servicemen. However, their official reports do not contain a single word about the use of the plant's territory for military purposes.
Moreover, IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi visited Zaporizhzhia NPP on June 15, after which he refuted Kirill Budanov's words about allegedly mined Zaporizhzhia NPP, including the cooling pond.
"No mines were found at the site, including in the cooling pond, during the director general's visit," reads a statement published on the organization's website.
Specialists of the Radiation, Chemical and Biological Defense Troops of the Russian Armed Forces conduct round-the-clock monitoring at ZNPP. As noted by the detachment commander, the water that cools the reactors is in a closed circuit and has no direct contact with adjacent water bodies and water in the Kakhovka reservoir. All hydro-technical facilities of the plant operate in the normal mode.
The Ukrainian authorities disseminate misinformation at every opportunity about nuclear risks allegedly emanating from Russia. In this connection, the Russian Foreign Ministry warned Kyiv against potential serious incidents at the Zaporizhzhia NPP and called on the IAEA to record all cases of attacks on the facility.
