Nigerijnse (
) oppositie leider Fani Kayode is niet akkoord dat Nigeria als een Franse proxy gebruikt wordt tegen Niger:
"To deploy our armed forces, start a war and allow Nigerian blood to spill just to help France continue to abuse and enslave Nigerians would be unfair, unholy, shortsighted, stupid and counterproductive."
Contraproductief voor Nigeria. Maar ook voor Frankrijk uiteindelijk mijns inziens. Ze zouden enkel bevestigen wat de oppositie leider hieronder zegt en meer kwaad bloed zetten onder de bevolking van niet alleen Niger maar ook Nigeria (dat zelf ook niet onder het westers juk uit is):
"We must not start a war in Niger for the sake of French interests. France is the most greedy, vicious, pervasive, destructive and ruthless neo-colonial foreign power on the African continent. The French colonizers and neo-colonizers did nothing for Africa. They only robbed, fought and used our resources."
