Als de Chinezen hetzelfde protectionisme gaan arrangeren met importproducten uit de EU ziet het er heel slecht uit voor Europa.
M.a.w. de EU zal dat zeker niet riskeren hogere importtaksen op te leggen van autos made in China.
Enkele importcijfers van EU-personenwagens naar China van 2018: (zal nu wel heel serieus afgenomen zijn, moet ik eens opzoeken)
• De EU voerde voor 22,4 miljard aan wagens uit naar China, of 53,3% van de Chinese auto-import kwam van de EU.
• Andersom kwam er maar 0,46 miljard aan wagens naar EU vanuit China...
