Het is best grappig dat de centrumpartijen niet leren uit het verleden. PVV wordt onder Verhofstadt quasi-vlaamsgezind en droogt de CVP af. Enkele jaren later wordt CVP quasi-vlaamsgezind onder Leterme en droogt VLD af in kartel met N-VA. VLD werd inmiddels weer belgicistisch en verschrompelt. Cd&V wordt belgicistisch en crasht naar rond de 10%.
