To me that means a striving to identify common values, creative dialogue, mutual respect, justice and democratic institutions. I subscribed to all your channels soon after the beginning of the war and my only regret is that it took the horror of Ukraine to bring me into your - beautiful - community. These people - the Petersons, Trumps and the rest - are in no sense Conservative. Not the least saddest thing about the present is the way people seem to want their preconceptions constantly affirmed and anything challenging is seen as a personal violation. I belong to an era where if an idea didn't provoke you it wasn't worth looking at and disagreement could joyfully sit with equally unrestrained friendship. If anyone unsubscribes the loss is theirs. Far better that they leave their emotional cocoons >
