Ferguson is natuurlijk een "néo-con" maar zo'n dwaasheid had ik van hem niet verwacht. De fertiliteitsratio van Iran is op hetzelfde niveau als die van de VS. Paradoxaal genoeg heeft de Revolutie in Iran voor een grote daling van het aantal geboorten gezorgd. Bovendien is Iran veel minder conservatief als andere landen in de regio. Laat ons toch niet vergeten dat niet zo lang geleden een Franssprekende, sexueel bevrijde (dat gaat tesamen) elite er de plak zwaaide.
