Inderdaad, vandaag zal de Amerikaanse opperbevelhebber in Irak zijn bevindingen en vooruitzichten melden aan het Congres. Volgens sommigen zou een negatief verslag wel es het startsien kunnen zijn van de aftocht uit Irak. Optimisme is alleszins niet al te groot.
mijn persoonlijke mening is dat men het moreel niet kan maken om weg te trekken uit Irak, het zou betekenen dat men de Irakezen achterlaat in een burgeroorlog en misschien in een tweede "Talibanregime" op langere termijn.
