Al Queda heeft toegeslagen, met een maximaal aantal slachtoffers, pal voor de spaanse verkiezingen. Hoewel de PP van Aznar in de peilingen nog sterk voorop lag voor de verkiezingen, de spaanse SP heeft maximaal munt kunnen slaan uit de aanslagen van Al Queda. De SP heeft ter laatster ure de buitenlandse politiek van Aznar méér veroordeeld dan de verschrikkelijke aanslagen zelf. De spaanse kiezer heeft enkel in de kaart gespeeld van Al Queda en Links heeft hen daarbij geholpen.
Al Queda heeft immers de boodschap heel goed begrepen. Even héél hard toeslaan, net voor verkiezingen, en ze weten het politiek toneel volledig te wijzigen. Het is een ongelooflijke overwinning en aanmoediging voor hen, en we kunnen dus logischerwijs enkel méér van hetzelfde onheil verwachten in de nabije toekomst...
Want het gaat zelfs dieper dan dat: Al Qaeda en andere extremisten beseffen nu dat ze zelfs andere onderdelen van de politiek zullen kunnen beïnvloeden via die strategie, via het spaanse voorbeeld. Gaande van de hele sluierkwestie tot het drijven van een grotere wig tussen Europa en de VS. Méér aanslagen in Europa en Europa zal de VS in de kou laten staan. De Alliantie zal de facto opbreken. Ondertussen blijkt uit rapporten van geheime diensten dat de moslimterroristen zeer druk aan het recruteren zijn binnen Europa.... Er staat ons dus wat te wachten…
