Onzin. De Ommeyadische heerschappij in Andalusië stortte in mekaar tussen 1009 en 1013, terwijl de Almohaden pas tussen 1146 en 1173 Andalusië veroverden. Dat is dus 133 jaar, dezelfde tijd als tussen de Frans-Pruisische oorlog van 1870-1871 en de invasie van Iraq door George W. Bush in 2003. Ga je ook zeggen dat George W. Bush verantwoordelijk was voor de nederlaag van de Fransen in 1871?
Dat komt ervan als men zijn "kennis" haalt bij islamofoben en Oriëntalisten als Vermeersch. Halve waarheden blijken ook hier gevaarlijker dan hele leugens...

jij bent de realiteit aan het verdraaien. Uw reactie doet volstrekt geen afbreuk aan het feit dat de Almohaden échte Talibans avant la lettre waren.

Like the Almovids, the Almohads crossed over into Spain from North Africa. They were led by Ibn Tumart, who is often described as a fundamentalist by historians. Onder meer de grote Joodse filosoof Maimonides (geboren 1135) is toen, als kind met zijn ouders vanuit Cordoba moeten vluchten voor het fanatiek en fundamentalistisch Almohad-regime. Hij is, na lange omzwervingen uiteindelijk in Egypte terecht gekomen dat toen, onder het sultanaat, wat minder fundamentalistisch was.
Tussen de rijk van de Almohaden en dat van de Ommayaden was er een kortere periode van verbrokkeling met diverse Almoraviden-rijkjes.
