Ex-Tamarod member: 'We have been betrayed after 30 June'

Former coordinator of the Tamarod movement in the Egyptian bar association Ahmed Qinawy slammed the post-coup regime in Egypt, saying that those who organised last year's 30 June protests have been "betrayed."
"30 June has not provided anything for Egypt, and has not made Egypt better off. On the contrary, Egypt has become worse off since 30 June," he told Al Jazeera on Monday.
Qinawy pointed out that the demands for which Tamarod was formed have not been met, and that crises have multiplied.
"We demanded freedom and democracy for Egypt, but Egypt has now turned to a repressive country, and the regime knows no other language than repression and tyranny," he said.
"I challenge Al-Sisi to mobilise 5% of those who turned out in last year's protest," he added.
