Standaard Eerste megachargerstations in beeld (Tesla Semi)

Pepsico die de eerste leveringen van de Tesla Semi krijgt zou er ook al een megachargerstation hebben (4 laadzuilen aan 1,2 MW max of meer)

First Tesla Megachargers for the Semi are looking ready for some real-world use

But while Megachargers in the Giga Nevada complex are interesting in their own right, Tesla also made it a point to install some of the all-electric Class 8 truck’s Megacharger stalls at PepsiCo’s Frito-Lay Modesto, CA facility. Images of the charging stalls were shared by members of the Tesla community about two weeks ago. The charging units attracted a lot of attention then since it became evident that the Megachargers were actually very large, possibly about 7 feet tall as per estimates of EV group The Kilowatts.

These Megachargers at the Modesto site appear to have been installed as of the end of January, based on images taken this past weekend. Needless to say, it would be pretty interesting — but perhaps not that surprising — if sightings of some Tesla Semi prototypes start getting reported around the Frito-Lay Modesto facility in the near future.
Chargepoint presenteert 2 MW laadconnector (concept):

Citaat:
ChargePoint unveiled its High-Powered Connector Concept for electric aircraft and semi-trucks, with capability of delivering up to 2 MW of power.

It's designed for EVs that use loads of power and are equipped with big battery packs. ChargePoint believes that the two applications could share a single connector design.

The reason behind the design of such a connector is the need for a solution for future electric vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) aircraft that Uber intends to introduce in a few years. ChargePoint is Uber's charging partner.

The proposed connector can handle 2 MW of power and if needed, the power can be sent through four independently circuits with four BMS interfaces (in case the battery packs are divided into two, three or four parts).

- up to 2 MW of power
- up to four BMS interfaces
- up to four 500-amp delivery circuits (200-1000 V), up to 500 kW each
- to facilitate autonomous data and vehicle performance payload offload, a provision for high speed data transfer was also included
- Designed to be used in heavy vehicle applications, the connector must be rugged and able to withstand the rigors of frequent use, while also being easy to insert and remove.
- A motorized system aids in the insertion process, while rugged construction protects against drops and rough maneuvers common in heavy-duty fueling.
- The connector also supports optional auxiliary liquid cooling to the aircraft or semi-truck while it’s being charged and is designed to be operated either manually or robotically.

According to the press release, Uber will demonstrate electric VTOL in 2020, and start commercial operation in the first cities (Dallas-Fort Worth/Frisco Texas and L.A. were proposed) by 2023. Already, several manufacturers were engaged in development of the VLOTs - Aurora Flight Sciences, Pipistrel Aircraft, *Embraer and Bell Helicopter.

The E9-FE will also feature nine seats and is the first all-electric aircraft in the Energia family, with a planned range of 200 nm. Powered by batteries that are located in the nose of the aircraft and a single rear-mounted electric motor, the E9-FE will have zero carbon emissions, according to Affonso. Technical readiness for the E9-FE is expected to be ready for entry into service by 2035.
