Dat is natuurlijk een onontkoombare waarheid na 12 opeenvolgende veto's door rusland in de UNSC mbt Syrie.
Er is toch wel ergens een 'responsability to protect' die ingeroepen kan worden, Rusland doet immers net hetzelfde als ze duizenden grondtroepen, tanks, APC's en BUK-lanceerinstallaties inzetten in Oekraiene : 'die mensen zijn etnische russen dus moet en mag rusland hen beschermen, ook in een soeverein land tegen alle Internationale regels en wetten in'.
Maar als de VS , UK en FR dan een flink verwaterde versie van die 'responsability to protect hanteren', met name bij gebruik van chemische wapens tegen de syrische burgerbevolking, DAN is het kot precies te klein.
De rus verwijt het Westen dus een splinter in het oog te hebben maar is blind voor het vliegdekschip in het eigen oog.
