De docu ging dus over het werk en leven van de antropologe Margaret Mead. Over de zin van het leven had ze niet direct iets te vertellen. Wel werd duidelik dat een intieme relatie met een man of vrouw (ze bleek uiteindelijk bi-seksueel te zijn) heel belangrijk voor haar was. Haar eerste studie op Samoa ging over de losse seksuele moraal van jonge vrouwen daar. Het woord ideologie (Idee - Ulrich) viel ook nog een keer een wel in dit verband. Seksuele ideologie (= moraal) dus. Tegenstand kreeg ze pas na haar dood van Derek Freeman die trachtte haar werk op Samoa teniet te doen omdat het niet strookte met zijn morele waarden.
