Ik dacht dat ik hier misschien de enige was die niet weet wat OEA is, maar enig opzoekwerk leert mij dat we het er toch ff bij moeten vertellen, want het lijkt een Spaanse afko voor de Organisatie van Amerikaanse Staten te zijn. Inderdaad beste @Kodo Kodo, dat is juist. Veel informatie ivm de Organisatie van Amerikaanse Staten is in het Spaans terug te vinden en ook heel wat in het Engels natuurlijk. In het Engels is het de

On April 30, 1948, 21 countries of the Western Hemisphere met in Bogotá, Colombia, to adopt the Charter of the Organization of American States (OAS), which affirmed their commitment to common goals and respect for each nation’s sovereignty. Since then, the OAS has expanded to include the nations of the Caribbean, as well as Canada (1990).
Today, made up of 35 member countries*, the OAS is the region’s premier political forum for multilateral dialogue and action. Ondertussen heeft de "onpartijdige" V.N. al laten weten dat ze het onderwerp Assange en het diplomatiek probleem Quito/Londen geen aandacht zullen geven, hij is namelijk volgens hun geen "vluchteling".
Maar geen nood, de bovenstaande OAS-landen (Canada en de VS uitgesloten) zullen dat dus wel doen. Mooi zo !
