Trouwens niks gehersenspoeld. Feiten, helaas van nogal kortbij. De echte 'gehersenspoelden' zijn diegene die tegen beter weten in communisme blijven verdedigen, een criminele ideologie die over miljoenen lijken loopt en het nog goedpraat ook. Daar ben jij ook bij: je commentaren over de studentenopstand in China die in bloed en lijken gesmoord werd waren daar een weerzinwekkend voorbeeld van.
En: spreek niet over de USA. Het is niet omdat ik het ene afkeur dat ik het andere goedpraat, wat verkeerd is, is verkeerd, onafhankelijk van de kleur. Zo beperkt en geïndoctrineerd ben ik niet, een ingesteldheid die je duidelijk niet begrijpt...

Het kapitalisme en het westerse kolonialisme hebben veel meer doden veroorzaakt dan het communisme. Het was een poging om een maatschappij op te richten waar niet alles om geld draait en zonder grote klassenverschillen. Zoals elk experiment ging dit met vallen en opstaan, maar als je ziet waar China nu staat en als je weet dat veel Oost-Europeanen en Russen nostalgie hebben naar die periode kun je het zeker niet enkel als "crimineel" of mislukt neerzetten.

A recent poll found that many Slovaks prefer a strong welfare state and believe several myths associated with the Communist Era.
Positive ideas still prevail among Slovakia's population when assessing communism, a poll carried out by Focus agency for the M.R. ?*tefánik Conservative Institute found.

People mostly prefer a strong welfare state and do not trust market solutions, the TASR newswire cited the poll’s results on June 25. Most have leftist opinions on the economy, although a considerable proportion of those polled identify themselves with centrism and right-wing ideas.

79 percent asserted that people lived in a safer environment during socialism and that violent crimes were less frequent. Another 77 percent claimed that thanks to the planned economy, there was enough useful work for all and therefore no unemployment.

The survey found the most agreement in connection with state intervention in health, education, labour law relations, social care and living standards. As many as 87 percent of people agreed with the opinion that health is not a commodity, so the state must guarantee, finance, and provide cost-free health care for all.
