De meeste illegale vluchtelingen in Europa komen tegenwoordig via Libië binnen. Al-Quaida, IS en nog veel andere terroristische organisaties hebben er hun hoofdkwartier gevestigd vanwaar ze aanvallen tegen Europese burgerdoelen uitvoeren en plannen.
Het land heeft 3 regeringen, tientallen milities, waarvan de meeste extremistisch, crimineel en terroristisch. Alles is in puin geschoten, de olieuitvoer is slechts een schim van wat het ooit was, in het land dat ooit het welvarendste van Afrika was en een van de welvarendste van de Arabische wereld heerst honger en extreme armoede.
Werd er ooit iemand bestraft voor deze rampzalige beslissing die bovendien in druisde tegen het internationaal recht?

Vladimir Putin, Russia's prime minister, made the claim after Nato forces bombed Gaddafi's residence in Tripoli on Monday. Putin, on a visit to Denmark, said: "They said they didn't want to kill Gaddafi. Now some officials say: 'Yes, we are trying to kill Gaddafi'. Who permitted this, was there any trial? China has also expressed concern about Britain sending military "advisers" to help the Libyan rebels, claiming this went beyond the UN mandate. But Gates, at the end of his meeting with Fox, insisted: "We are not targeting him [Gaddafi] specifically." However command and control centres were legitimate targets, the US defence secretary clarified. Fox also denied Nato was trying to kill Gaddafi. "We do not target individuals" he said.

Het enige positieve aan de hele kwestie is dat de ogen van de Russen opengegaan zijn, dat ze moesten ingrijpen op de destructieve politiek van het Westen in de Arabische wereld te stoppen.
En dat is gebeurd, in Syrië werden de terroristen gestopt door gespierd Russisch ingrijpen, het Westen is er niet in geslaagd de spirit van de Syriërs te breken en het land volledig te vernielen.
