Electrisch transport is de toekomst, omdat ge zo veel meer hernieuwbare bronnen aan elkaar kunt koppelen: biomassa, zon, wind, hydro, etc... Electrisch transport is ook veel efficiënter op een fuel-to-grid-to-wheel basis dan de verbrandingsmotor.
Er moeten wel betere en goedkopere batterijtjes ontwikkeld worden.
