220 ? Waren er niet voor de maand september 1500 beloofd ?... alleszins niet op schema voor de ramp-up (5000 model 3's per week in december). Dat wordt nog heel lang wachten.

Inderdaad, maar ook niet alles kan netjes uitkomen. Geleverd wordt ook uit Canada en Mexico. Een serie van slechte bouten is al genoeg hé...

Remember, quasi niemand geloofde dat Tesla de productie in juli al kon opstarten, inmiddels zijn ze toch wel serieus bezig, alle begin is moeilijk is een cliché maar toch is het zo.

De ##bottlenecks zouden ergens einde ##september pas opgelost zijn, is te vinden op ##Electrek, veel te laat dus om nog bij Q3-geleverd te mogen tellen.
40 model 3 wagens staan nog in transit, die komen bij Q4.

Tesla ramps up Model 3 production after working through early manufacturing problems

The automaker is attempting a production ramp up ahead of the start of customer deliveries next month and sources familiar with the Model 3 program told Electrek that production recently increased after Tesla worked through early manufacturing problems.

Model 3 is built on a new production line at Tesla’s Fremont factory.

The fact that Tesla’s early production is dedicated to employees facilitates fixing virtually inevitable early production issues.

Among the early production issues, Tesla had to replace battery packs on Model 3 produced in July due to corrections on welds and it also had to replace ground terminal bolts on Model 3 produced in August.

But this ##month, Tesla was able to increase production and deliveries of the new all-electric vehicle.

It’s not clear what is the current production rate, but there’s *some evidence that Tesla reached over 1,000 Model 3 produced this month compared to only a few hundred units last month.

It’s not clear if they achieved those goals, but for Model 3, it’s not that important. The most important figure is the production rate when they start regular deliveries and there’s evidence that it has increased significantly this month.

But there’s a big difference between producing a few hundred cars per week and a few thousand cars per week, which is where Tesla wants to be with the Model 3 by the end of the year.

CEO Elon Musk guided a production rate of 5,000 cars per week in December. There’s likely still a long way to go to get there both for the production in Fremont, but also at Tesla’s Gigafactory 1 in Nevada.

5,000 Model 3 vehicles represent at least 250 MWh of battery production, which means that Gigafactory 1 needs to be at an annualized production rate of 13 GWh just of Model 3 batteries in order to achieve the production rate.

Tesla model 3 staat dus pakweg 1500 wagens achter hun ramp-up, *afwachten dus, maar 1500 per maand is ook maar weinig bij hun prognoses begin 2018 van 5000 per week... Bottleneck is alvast niet de productie van accucellen.

Ook GM had of heeft nog altijd serieuze startproblemen bij hun Bolt EV, meen ik toch ergens geciteerd te hebben. In elk geval serieuze vertraging bij hun productie.
