The West Bank and the Gaza Strip are two parts of a single integral entity. Palestinians from both areas share the same national identity, language and history, and their lives continue to be interwoven, through ties of family, culture and economy. Israel itself has recognized this integral unity, entrenched in the Interim Agreement it signed with the Palestinian Authority (the Oslo Accord).
