Dat gaat over Noord Ierland en dat is inderdaad iets wat na afloop van de WD op vraag van Theresa May ingevoegd is, nl de Backstop.
Bij mijn weten is dat het enige dat er vastligt voor wat er na de Overgangsperiode zal gebeuren.

Ja, maar die backstop wil zeggen dat de complete UK in een customs union moet om een harde grens in Ierland te vermijden, dit gaat niet enkel over Noord Ierland.
Die customs union is het voorstel van de EU omdat ze niet geloven in een technische of andere oplossing, grootste probleem voor de Britten is het feit dat er geen einddatum is dus dat de UK ook geen andere oplossing meer kan uitwerken.

The backstop doesn’t just cover Northern Ireland, but also provides for a UK-wide customs union with the EU, covering all goods (except for fish). Under the backstop, the whole UK will also be subject to ‘level playing field’ restrictions, principally the EU’s rules on state aid and competition law, with commitments to not downgrade domestic policies in areas such as labour, social and environmental standards. In addition, Northern Ireland only will be subject to EU regulations in areas such as VAT, agriculture, the environment, electricity markets and the EU’s Customs Code.
