Of indien je dat al had, en wegens de problemen dat buitenlands vastgoed al met verlies terug verkocht hebt?

Vastgoed in het buitenland? mmh aan Oostenrijk hebben we wel eens gedacht...

Ik ben enorm tevreden met mijn vastgoed hier, na uiterlijk een week vakantie willen we al terug. (en ik ben niet alleen)

Tesla breidt zijn city-superchargernetwerk gevoelig uit.

Of de Urban Superchargers
Dit zijn snellaadpalen tot 72 kW netto, DC. (zwart op de map), voor diegenen die maar kort ergens parkeren en toch hun batterij snel tot 80% willen laden op minder dan 1 uur.


De zwaardere zijn 145 kW(bruto) DC, tot 120 kW mag een Tesla opladen (in het begin). Rood op de map. Nog sneller laden, na 20-30 minuten ben je weer weg.

Dan heb je nog de destination chargers level 2, meestal 22 kW maar wel AC, dus laden aan 16,5 kW netto via de omvormer in de wagen. (grijs op de map, soms ook maar 11 kW). Dit bij horeca parkings enz...of traag laden, de auto staat toch uren geparkeerd.

Tesla has recently announced several milestones achieved by its Supercharger network, which has the goal to enable long-distance travel.

But the automaker also has a newer version called ‘Urban Supercharger’ to address the issue of urban EV ownership.

The company has now expanded its charging infrastructure in New York with the new ‘Urban Supercharger stations’.

Since launching its new ‘Urban Supercharger stations’ last year, Tesla has been slowly rolling out the latest addition to its Supercharger network.

Originally, Tesla’s Supercharger network was meant to enable long-distance driving for its electric vehicles between locations.

At the destinations, Tesla is deploying its level 2 ‘Destination charger’ and daily charging is expected to be done at home overnight.

But that’s an issue for apartment dwellers who sometimes don’t have access to charging at home.

That’s where Tesla’s new ‘urban’ Supercharger stations come into play.

The chargers feature an updated design and most of them have a 72 kW charger rate, which is slower than Tesla’s normal 120 kW Supercharger charge rate, but it is still fast for its purpose.

Tesla has now deployed several more of these stations in New York City in the past few weeks.

The automaker started sending out new notices to local owners and reservation holders about the new expanded charging network in the region (thanks to Ron Chiu):

“We just expanded our Supercharger network across New York City, making Tesla ownership more convenient for those without direct access to charging at home or work.

New Supercharger locations are now in the following neighborhoods: Lower East Side, Chinatown, Midtown East, Upper West Side, Williamsburg and Jamaica.

Located in public garages near local amenities, these new Supercharger locations are specifically designed for efficiency in high volume urban areas—providing a consistent charge time of around 45 to 50 minutes. Valet and parking fees may apply.

You can discover hundreds more Tesla charging locations in the New York City area below, or schedule a test drive to experience Model S, Model X or Model 3 at your local Tesla store today.”

Tesla updated its charging map with the new stations and it has several new stations coming up.

Between the Supercharger network and Destination charging network, the island of Manhattan is completely covered with charging stations.

Tesla now has 10,882 Superchargers in operation at 1,342 stations around the world.

Earlier this year, we reported how Tesla’s Supercharger network is growing at a record pace in 2018 and Musk added that Tesla has thousands of new Supercharger stations in the construction/permit phase.

The Tesla Model 3 is having a major impact on the automotive market. Some established automakers are taking it very seriously and getting their hands on the vehicle for benchmarking and reverse-engineering.

Volvo is apparently adding itself to the list as it was spotted with a Model 3 in Sweden.
It’s somewhat common in the industry to purchase vehicles from competitor to see what they are up to, but it also becomes a necessity for vehicles that are seen as important disrupters.

The Model 3 appears to fit the description as it apparently outsold all other premium sedans combined in the US last month.

During the early production ramp up, it was difficult to get your hands on a Model 3, but some automakers paid a pretty penny to be amongst the first to be able to check out the new electric car.

In January, two Model 3 vehicles were spotted on their way to Germany – presumably to be reverse-engineered.

Later, a report came out about a German automaker being impressed by Model 3 after reverse-engineering it.

Ford also took a look at the car. A Model 3 was spotted being tested on Ford’s campus earlier this year.

It’s now Volvo’s turn to peek at what Tesla did with the Model 3.

They presumably acquired the vehicle to benchmark it and possibly reverse-engineer it to learn its secrets.

Volvo probably wants to learn more about electric vehicles as it is about to launch its own first all-electric vehicle and wider electrification plans.

The Swedish automaker is investing heavily in electric vehicles both through its own brand and as part of the bigger family of brands owned by its parent company, China’s Geely.

Earlier this year, Volvo said that an all-electric version of its XC40 compact SUV is coming and it aims for 50% of sales to be ‘fully electric’ by 2025.

They also plan to manufacture electric vehicles in China and export to other markets around the world.

Maybe they could even use some of Tesla’s technology to do it since they are clearly investigating it now and Tesla has open-sourced its patents.

Er is blijkbaar een algemene consensus bij financieel analysten dat Tesla met moeite 2000 wagens kan maken, laat staan 5000.

We shall see. Op zondag nacht, 12 pm, stond de parking in Fremont half vol. 3 shiften, it is already there. 2070 op 2 shiften wordt 3100 op 3 shiften. De downtime heeft verleden keer de tred van 700 naar 2000 gejaagd, dus ik vermoed dat de downtime van afgelopen week ook wel de band sneller zal doen laten lopen.

4000 is in bereik op korte termijn.

Het is het eerste wat constructeurs al vele jaren doen bij de lancering van een nieuw model van een concurrent.
In die mate dat fabrikanten exemplaren van hun nieuw model al direct aanbieden aan de concurrentie.

Vancouver resident Peter Levey and his wife waited more than two years for their Long Range RWD Tesla Model 3. As part of their celebration for the new electric car, the couple embarked on what was supposed to be a multi-day road trip heading south to San Diego and back. Levey notes that the trip was two years in the making, and he and his wife were looking forward to it.

The first days of the road trip were everything that Peter and his spouse expected, plus more. On the first day of the trip, the couple headed to Portland, clocking in 322.3 miles on the road but only using 68 kWh of their vehicle’s 75 kWh battery, even with the A/C on during the entire trip. Unfortunately for Peter, the trip was unceremoniously cut short when a 4-door Dodge slammed into the back of their Model 3 at the intersection of Coastal Hwy 101 and Matlock Way in Oregon. The impact was notable, causing the Model 3 to get shoved 15-20 ft forward.

Authorities later informed Peter that the Dodge was likely traveling more than 40 mph when it collided with the electric sedan. The gas-powered car was significantly damaged, completely smashing its front end. Its hood was also bent at an inverted V, and its radiator was hanging out. The Model 3 showed far less damage. Multiple panels were dented, but apart from a couple of broken lights at the rear, the structural integrity of the vehicle was not compromised in any way. Peter noted in a video of the incident he uploaded on his model3man YouTube channel that even the contents of the Model 3’s trunk were unharmed by the collision.

Similar to other stories of Teslas involved in accidents, Peter’s Model 3 protected him and his wife well. They both escaped injury, and they were able to walk away from the crash without any problems. Inasmuch as this is impressive, Peter notes that what really struck him was how Tesla proactively reached out to him after the accident. For Peter, it was this approach to safety that truly made him believe how serious the company is about improving its cars and keeping its passengers secure.

“I have to say two things, and they are both about Tesla, the company, and their response to us. About a minute and a half to two minutes after the time of impact, my cellphone rang, and I looked at it, and I didn’t recognize the number — it was a 1-877. It turned out to be Tesla Roadside Assistance, and their first question was ‘Our computers show that you suffered a major impact. Are you guys okay? Were you in an accident?’ and I cannot tell you how comforting that was.

“It was just amazing. There we were — we felt alone, we felt isolated, we didn’t feel like talking to the guy behind us for obvious reasons, and there comes a call, and it’s from your car company. So we were incredibly impressed by that. And later in the afternoon, and later in the evening, Tesla Roadside Assistance worked diligently with us to try and get the car into Towing Mode, to give us everything we could try. It was most impressive.”

Tesla Roadside Assistance’s proactive response to the accident is just half of the story. A day after, Peter received yet another call from Tesla. This time, the call was from Tesla’s head of safety engineering, who asked if he and his wife were doing alright, and if he had any suggestions on how to improve the Model 3’s safety systems even more.

“The next day, when I got home from Vancouver, I got another call from the head of safety engineering, and he wanted to find out how we were. He also wanted to find out ‘What can we do to make this car safer? What can we do to give an even greater measure of safety to the occupants?’ and that was mind-blowing. I’ve never had that from any car company, and I understand why people now say the Tesla Model S, Model X, and Model 3 are the safest cars on the road.”

Hopen vol karton, houtafval, plastic tot afgedankte voertuigen toe.... één zootje ongeregeld. Ze hebben nog geluk dat het niet die berg met houtafval naast hun productietent die in brand gevlogen is.
