St.-Nicolas Monastery, Arzamas, Novgorod, Russia :

The monastery was founded under Ivan the Terrible in 1580 [1]. It was founded by a resident of Arzamas, Theophilact Yakovlev, who was later raised to the priesthood [1]. The wooden church of Saint-Nicolas was first built, and later became the catholicon of a female monastery [1]. This church burnt down several times. It was replaced by a stone church in 1683. It was rebuilt after a fire in 1723.

In 1764, the monastery was registered as a 3rd class monastery [2]. In 1811, the Church of the Epiphany of the Lord replaced the monastery's small wooden churches. It was consecrated in 1813. In 1878, Saint-Nicolas church was rebuilt

Montevideo, Uruguay :

In 1902, a law was made that approved the call for international competition for architectural projects for the construction of a new headquarters for the legislative branch, since its old headquarters, the Montevideo Cabildo, had several inadequacies. The project of the architect Vittorio Meano, who at that time was building the Palace of the Argentine National Congress in Buenos Aires, was approved. He never found out that his project had been the winner since he died suddenly before he could be contacted by the Legislative Palace Commission, organizer of the project competition.
