Standaard Libertas : on europe day, libertas offers the onlky chance to take europe back for th

Europe Day is traditionally a celebration of European values of freedom and democracy. But this year, it marks two minutes to midnight to save Europe from the anti-democratic Lisbon Constitution.

Following the Czech Senate's ratification of the Lisbon Treaty this week, Libertas chairman Declan Ganley has called for Libertas supporters and fans of democracy across Europe to voice their support for Czech President Vaclav Klaus' commitment to respecting the voice of the people in the Irish referendum. The video is online and can be viewed here: http://www.youtube.com/user/LibertasEU

Declan Ganley has called for supporters of democracy across Europe to "make sure Brussels can no longer ignore their voice", and to use Europe Day to show the Brussels elite that the people of Europe want an EU that works for them and respects their democratic rights.

On the one day each year that the EU institutions open their doors to the public, Libertas will be organising a grassroots campaign event outside the Berlaymont and Parliament buildings.

Libertas is a movement of the people, committed to reminding Brussels that the EU should never be allowed to close its doors to the people that pay for it.

Libertas.eu is a pro-European movement committed to bringing more democracy, accountability and transparency to European Union law-making and institutions.
In June, Libertas-backed candidates will run across the 27 member countries of the European Union for the European Parliament elections. Libertas.eu seeks to have the European voters’ mandate to reform the EU. This is the first time a pan-European party will contest the European elections.
