Denemarken gaf dit jaar bijna 10 miljoen euro uit.

The confidential report, here in Danish in Metroxpress newspaper, showed that the national broadcaster Danmarks Radio (DR) has had to cough up an additional 22.8 million kroner after the company tasked with setting up the event ran out of funds.

Maar ook wij mogen mee betalen. De leden van de European Broadcasting Union betalen een jaarlijkse bijdrage. De BBC betaalde in 2012 bijna 400.000 euro

De jaarlijkse bijdrage is voor de BBC de laatste jaren gestegen. Blijkt uit navraag van journalist Ewan Spence.

A couple of years back, Ewan Spence had the same question, and put in a Freedom of Information request to the BBC, Eurovision's sponsoring partner in the UK. They refused to disclose all their production costs for broadcasting the competition on BB1, BB3 and Radio 2. But they revealed that the payment the BBC makes to the European Broadcasting Union was £279,805 in 2009, and £283,190 in 2010.

Ook Vrt en rtbf zijn lid van EBU en betalen een jaarlijkse bijdrage. Ik heb nog niet gevonden hoeveel die bedraagt.
