Few photographers have had the opportunity to be a witness to history as much as Eduard Pesov. The eighty-year old has been taking pictures for the Russian Foreign Ministry for fifty years.

Eduard Pesov worked with all Soviet and Russian Foreign Ministers starting with Andrey Gromyko. During Evgeny Primakov’s incumbency he became the official photographer of the Ministry and has been in the position for more than ten years.

The exhibition will show about a hundred of works. Mr Pesov’s photographs have become pages of history and faces caught by his camera need no introductions –Leonid Brezhnev, Mikhail Gorbachev, Evgeny Primakov, Igor Ivanov, Sergey Lavrov and many other statesmen of the Soviet times and of the modern Russia.

The familiar protocol shots are not the only thing to be shown at the display. It will also feature rare shots of dignitaries’everyday life, portraits of outstanding public persons (Sofiko Chiaureli, Liza Minelli, Nicholas Roerich, etc) and works from author’s personal archive that have never been shown before.

gezocht en niks speciaals gevonden , geen eigen webpage dus ...
